PPAC advises and makes recommendations to the vice president of instruction concerning professional advancement units for faculty members. PPAC is also responsible for making recommendations to the vice president of instruction for the award of sabbatical leaves.

Members:

1. Vice president of instruction or designee (standing member, non-voting)
2. Associate vice president of human resources (standing member, non-voting)
3. Two tenured faculty members from each instructional unit, appointed by the AHE president (three-year rotating appointments)

The chair is selected by the committee.
