The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington provide diverse activities that meet the interests and needs of young people. Our core programs provide the opportunity for adults, peers and family members to interact with youth, enabling them to fulfill their potential and enhance their self-esteem.

Volunteer Positions: Program Assistant/Mentor/Tutor
Time Commitment: 1 hour per week (minimum)

PROGRAM ASSISTANT
Find out if the Club offers a program that interests you and would allow you to showcase and share your talents. By becoming a Program Assistant volunteers are able to commit themselves to supporting and enhancing one of our weekly programs by working with a lead staff.

VOLUNTEERING
Volunteer opportunities at the Boys & Girls Club are plentiful and rewarding! By donating your time and influence, you will become a positive role model and impart a positive influence upon our members.

MENTORING
Many of our members are in need of positive role models and would greatly benefit from the individual attention of a caring adult. As a Mentor, you will be paired with a club member and meet for no less than 1 hour per week during club hours to socialize and engage in club activities.

TUTORING
Power Hour and Power Surge, our after school homework help programs for 1st-5th graders and 6th-12th graders, are always in need of volunteers to help members with their homework . For those members in need of extra help, one-on one tutoring opportunities exist. Tutors are asked to commit a minimum of one hour per week for a full school year to meet with a member at a set time determined by the tutor, the member's guardian and the Club member.

*If interested in volunteering please contact volunteer@mybgc.org or call (360) 313-5682
