HSC 139
The college‘s Crisis Intervention Management Team (CIMT) was created in 2012 to support emergency mental health needs following a significant incident at the college such as a major fire, earthquake or active shooter event. The concept of providing a team of trained people to deliver ’psychological first aid“ in traumatic circumstances is considered a best practice in emergency management, and was required by the college‘s federal Emergency Management in Higher Education grant.
