Parent and Supporter Night, April 15th, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Zoom
Join us for a virtual information session with Cath Busha, Clark College Dean of Student Engagement! This virtual event is geared towards parents and supporters of new Clark College students, but is open for all to attend. During this virtual event, Cath Busha will share information about Clark College resources and support services, student life opportunities, and the differences between High School and College- with tips on how to provide support to students navigating college.
Live ASL interpretation will be provided.

Student Pathways to a Global, Inclusive World
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is excited to provide a new online Canvas course all degree-seeking students will be enrolled in entitled, "Student Pathways to a Global, Inclusive World" starting Spring Term 2025. The course is self-paced and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. It consists of 8 modules covering topics and information relating to diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism and was developed to meet a Washington State law that requires community and technical colleges to provide a program on diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism to all degree-seeking students beginning in the 2024-25 academic year.
Students will be required to complete this training by the end of Spring Term, June 20, 2025. There will be no tuition or fees associated with this course.
You are allowed to opt-out of taking the Canvas course if you self-attest to taking a diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism training at an institution of higher education within the previous five years. Instructions on how to opt-out will be included at the beginning of the Canvas course.

Join us as we celebrate the blossoming Cherry trees and our sister city friendship with Joyo Japan. Remarks and a performance by Clark Tremble Ensemble will take place at 1pm at the Japanese Garden. Performances as well as display tables will be held from 2:00-3:30pm in Gaiser Student Center. Learn more about the Sakura Festival.

Need to Use a Microwave?
Students need to eat. Sometimes you need a microwave. Here are some locations of microwaves throughout the main campus: Basic Needs Hub (GHL 216), Frost Arts Center, Clark Bookstore, & in the Hanna Hall Study Lounge. Quick note: Basic Needs Hub is the only location listed that has utensils and napkins. Please be mindful that other students use this machine, too. Please clean up after you make a mess. Be a resourceful and responsible student.

Music, Art, & Theater
Artist Talk: Bruce Conkle, April 16, 1:00 p.m. - 2:200 p.m. in PUB 161
Bruce Conkle declares an affinity for mysterious natural phenomenon such as snow, fire, rainbows, crystals, volcanos, tree burls, and meteorites. He examines contemporary attitudes toward the environment, including deforestation, climate change, and extinction. Conkle's work often deals with man's place within nature, and frequently examines what he calls the "misfit quotient" at the crossroads. His work has shown around the world, including Reykjavik, Ulaanbaatar, Rio De Janeiro, New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Seattle, and Portland.
Recent projects include public art commissions for the Oregon Department of Transportation, TriMet/MAX Light Rail, and Portland State University's Smith Memorial Student Union Public Art + Residency. In 2011 Bruce received a Hallie Ford Fellowship in 2010 and an Oregon Arts Commission Artist Fellowship. His 2012 show Tree Clouds and Surface Glitch, 2016 were awarded project grants from the Regional Arts and Culture Council.
For this artist talk Conkle will share and speak about his art, process, and current exhibit on display at the archer Gallery. This event is free and open to everyone.

Where else can you work out for $10 per term? Join the Clark College Fitness Center. Students can go directly to the Cashier’s Office in Gaiser Hall 128 to pay.

Get a Free C-Tran Bus Pass and a Free Clark College Student ID through the Bookstore. Simply bring a valid photo ID.

Free Workshops at WorkSource
Did you know that your local WorkSource offers a variety of free workshops (virtual and in person) to support jobseekers and career changers? Some example workshops offered are: Creating the Right Resume, Coping with Stress During the Job Search, Resolving Conflict at Work, How to Get Past the Applicant Tracking System, and more! Registration is required for virtual workshops.
