Tutoring In Person or Online – Visit Today!

Get to know your resources and visit us early! Join Tutoring Services Monday through Thursday 9am to 5pm or Fridays 9am to 2pm in various campus locations! Great place to work on that homework, meet your study groups, AND get support if you need it!

Not on campus? No problem! You can connect with any of our scheduled tutors via Zoom during their scheduled times as long as they are not already assisting another student.

We are excited to invite students currently registered with the Disability Access Center to join us for our upcoming information sessions on Friday, April 11th at 12:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 15th at 3:00 p.m.! In these sessions students will have the opportunity to meet our new Accommodation Specialists and Peer Mentors. It's also a great chance to connect and go over some key info that's important for all DAC students. Plus, we're here to answer any questions you've got—so don't be shy! Bagels for Breakfast at CTC, April 21st, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in CTC Nest

The Activities Programming Board is hosting Bagels for Breakfast in the NEST at the Clark Columbia Tech Center. There will be free bagels from Seize the Bagel and free coffee and hot cocoa from Pacific Perks! We will have over 8 bagel flavors and cream cheese. Mind Reader: Mark Toland, April 23rd, 11:00 a.m. in Gaiser Student Center

Come get your mind blown by internationally award-winning mind reader Mark Toland. Mark knows what you're thinking. He can tell you your birthday, where you grew up, and what you did last summer. He will quite literally blow your mind. His mind-blowing skills have been featured on NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS, WGN, NPR, Sirius XM, and more. His one-man show has won numerous awards including "Best of Fest" (NYC), "Critics Choice" (Portland), and "Pick of Fringe" (Orlando) - just to name a few. The Chicago Tribune says Mark is "Mind blowing!" and KC Applauds says "Toland's skills produce gasps, awe, thunderous applause, standing ovations, and head-shaking disbelief. Dried Flower Bookmarks, April 28th, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in HHL Lobby

Come create your own dried flower bookmark. Students will pick up a bookmark, dried flowers, dried leaves, foam brush and mod podge and design their own bookmark. Artist Talk: Bruce Conkle
Bruce Conkle declares an affinity for mysterious natural phenomenon such as snow, fire, rainbows, crystals, volcanos, tree burls, and meteorites. He examines contemporary attitudes toward the environment, including deforestation, climate change, and extinction. Conkle's work often deals with man's place within nature, and frequently examines what he calls the "misfit quotient" at the crossroads. His work has shown around the world, including Reykjavik, Ulaanbaatar, Rio De Janeiro, New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Seattle, and Portland. Recent projects include public art commissions for the Oregon Department of Transportation, TriMet/MAX Light Rail, and Portland State University's Smith Memorial Student Union Public Art + Residency. In 2011 Bruce received a Hallie Ford Fellowship in 2010 and an Oregon Arts Commission Artist Fellowship. His 2012 show Tree Clouds and Surface Glitch, 2016 were awarded project grants from the Regional Arts and Culture Council. Join Clark College, City of Vancouver and Vancouver Rotary on the Clark College main campus for the annual Sakura Festival, celebrating the gift of the beautiful cherry blossom trees and international friendship.  The ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Royce Pollard Japanese Friendship Garden* with festivities continuing in Gaiser Student Center at 2:30 p.m. with display and demonstration tables, cookies and tea and performances by the Japanese Club, Traditional Japanese dance performance and Takohachi drum group.  *Please note the ceremony will move inside if there is inclement weather.

Did you know that your local WorkSource offers a variety of free workshops (virtual and in person) to support jobseekers and career changers? Registration is required for virtual workshops.

Career & Personality Assessment Opportunities

Learn more about your unique personality type preferences and discover career possibilities. The Strong Interest Inventory career assessment, and the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator are assessments available to currently enrolled students. They include a detailed report that helps to identify interest areas, career pathways, and personality style strengths & preferences. These assessments are tools to help individuals learn about career options, understand themselves better and relationships with others. Sign-up to complete the assessment(s) and pick an interpretation session date. During the session, you'll receive your report(s) and learn strategies to support with your career or personal development.

Student Resources

You May be Eligible for Support through Workforce Education Services

Workforce Education Services (WES) administers a variety of programs that are designed to support students who are seeking certificates and degree programs with an employment goal, as well as students enrolled in Transitional Studies programs. Eligibility, including eligible degree types, vary and are dependent on individual program requirements. Students may receive assistance with tuition, fees and books as well as help in accessing other supports to include public benefits by completing the Workforce Education Services Application.

You may be eligible for support through Workforce Education Services if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Considered low income
  • Receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
  • Receiving federal food benefits (SNAP/EBT)
  • Receiving unemployment benefits
  • Exhausted unemployment benefits within the past 48 months
  • A military veteran discharged within the past 48 months or have an upcoming separation date
  • A displaced Homemaker (loss of primary income due to becoming widowed, separated, divorced, or lost income due to loss of a spouse's job or incarceration of a spouse) within the past 48 months
  • A Former Foster Youth and under 22 years old
  • An Unaccompanied Homeless Youth and under 22 years old
