Computer Science and Engineering
While this is not a current program offered at Clark College, this committee will explore the potential offerings of a Computer Science and Engineering program at Clark.
Computer Science involves the design, development and analysis of computer programs and applications. Computer scientists develop software solutions for a wide variety of products and services. Put simply, any device with a processor (i.e., a smart device) requires computer scientist. They work in multi-disciplinary teams on computer systems, security, artificial intelligence, gaming, robotics, automation, banking, healthcare, and many other fields.
Computer Science students develop projects by applying their classroom knowledge to solve real-world problems. Projects involve developing concepts, creating algorithms, programming, and presenting the results. Upon completion of this program of study, students obtain a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and would be qualified for a wide range of computer software development opportunities.
