Tutoring Tip of the Week #1
Visit a tutoring location on campus! Week one is hectic, you are adjusting to new classes, new technology and platforms, and a lot of new information! Make sure to swing through a tutoring location before, between, or after classes. This is a great place to get yourself geared up for the quarter, organize your materials and schedule, have a great study area filled with computers, resources, and support! Tutoring staff are happy to help not only with subject area content, but also the technology, organization, and study tips needed for a great college experience! Tutoring Services locations are:
- Language & Writing Center, Hawkins Hall, room 102
- Speech & Presentation Lab, Hawkins Hall, room 101
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Center, Bauer Hall, room 102
- Accounting & Business Center, Applied Arts 4, room 106 (closed Fridays)
All (most) locations are open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (except this first Friday, we will close at noon for an all-staff meeting). Pro-tip! You can meet with our tutors via Zoom if you are an online or hybrid student that is not on campus!
Fall Term DSHS Pop-Ups in the Basic Needs Hub
Come into the Basic Needs Hub to meet with DSHS! You can complete your SNAP application and interview, drop off paperwork, make changes to an existing case, and more!
October 9th & 23rd, November 6th & 20th, and December 11th, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Paint, Layer, & Design: A Canvas, Candle & Tote Bag Event, October 8th, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in PUB 161
Unleash your inner artist and creativity as the Activities Programming Board will be hosting a Paint, Layer, & Design: A Canvas, Candle & Tote Bag Event.
You'll be able to create a one-of-a-kind piece by choosing from three different activities: painting your own canvas, customizing a sand wax candle, or decorating a tote bag with patches and fabric markers. Free drinks and snacks will also be available! This is the perfect opportunity to relax, be creative, and make something unique to take home. Family Movie Night: "Corpse Bride" and "Frankenweenie," October 27th, 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in Gaiser Student Center
The Activities Programming Board will be showing the movies Corpse Bride (PG) and Frankenweenie (PG).
Bring your friends and family and join us for a cozy movie night! Stuff and fluff your own fun and easy Clark-themed pillows! There will be free pizza and drinks while supplies last! The movies will include closed captioning. Questions? Please contact Sophia at shao@clark.edu.

We recommend that you check to make sure your contact information in ctcLink is correct and up to date to ensure that Clark College can get in touch with you by email and phone to relay important information. To check and/or update your personal information, please follow the steps below:

Fall classes are quickly approaching, and Academic Advising is here to get you ready for the upcoming term. Visit our “No Appointment Needed, Drop-in Advising” to get your Fall term courses. We offer both in-person and virtual services.
Our advising team is here to help you, and no appointment is needed for these four days. Are you able to meet before the term? You can also schedule an appointment prior to these days to meet with an advisor. The last day to register for Fall classes without instructor permission is September 23rd, so visit Academic Advising and be ready for Fall!

Did you know that if you need to print anything, each student has a printing account linked to their Clark Labs account? 1500 credits each term. Learn more about Student Print Accounts. Have questions or need help, contact IT services.

Protect Yourself from Phishing Scams!
Always verify the legitimacy of requests for personal information, even if they seem to come from Clark College. If you receive an email, text, or call asking for sensitive details:
- Pause before responding.
- Contact the Clark College Helpdesk at (360) 992-2425 or helpdesk@clark.edu to confirm the request.
Scammers may pose as Clark College or state employees to steal your personal information. Stay vigilant and protect yourself from fraud. Stay safe—think before you share!
Need to Use a Microwave?
Students need to eat. Sometimes you need a microwave. Here are some locations of microwaves throughout the main campus: Basic Needs Hub (GHL 216), Frost Arts Center, Clark Bookstore, Hanna Hall Study Lounge, Culinary, Student Life, JSH near Clark Café, BHL near vending machines, SHL lower level near vending machines, NERD Cave (SBG 102). Please be mindful that other students use this machine, too. Please clean up after you make a mess. Be a resourceful and responsible student.

Menu: Serving breakfast burritos, muffins, bagels, biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwiches, bento, pizza, burritos, tacos, nachos, salads, baked potatoes, wraps, and a full espresso menu.

Hanna Hall Coffee Lounge
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:40 a.m. - 2 p.m.; Friday 7:40 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Menu: Serving coffee, espresso drinks, tea, hot chocolate, frappes, smoothies, italian soda, energy drinks, oatmeal, bagels, donuts, muffins, scones, and danishes.
