In this workshop, we'll explore the nature of losses (big and small), identify stages of grief, and knowing how to get help or help others who are grieving.

Understanding Change

Presented by Chato Hazelbaker, Clark College Chief Information and Communication Officer

Every day we face change. Whether it is our children growing up, new job responsibilities, new neighbors, or even just the closing of a favorite restaurant, we all have to deal with change.  While there is a lot of talk about changes, many individuals never take the time to explore their own feelings and strategies to successfully navigate change.

Using a framework based in research, this workshop will explore the general process of change, how it happens and how we handle it, and provide some effective strategies for dealing with change on a personal level.

Leading Change

A key task for any leader is to help the organization address and ultimately flourish through transformation and change.  Using the framework suggested by Chip and Dan Heath’s book “Switch” we will spend this workshop applying theory to everyday situations leaders face in helping others deal with change.

The goal of the session is to adopt new strategies to support your team in times of change and come out the other side stronger, more resilient, and confident.
