Tutoring Tip of the Week #3
ITAW – What is that!? It is International Tutor Appreciation Week! This is celebrated every year during the first full week of October to acknowledge and celebrate the fantastic work that tutors do for students. Did you know that tutors assist not only with college academics but also with logistics? That is right, you can get help with time management, organization, navigating technology, and more! Visit a Tutoring Center this week and get the feel for our friendly welcoming spaces. It’s a great place to get your homework done without having to take it home! You can write a note of appreciation to our tutoring team in person at any center during this week:

Pumpkin Painting and Costume Contest Event, October 29th, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in Hanna Hall Lounge
It’s the spooky season! Activities Programming Board (APB) and Associated Students of Clark College (ASCC) are excited to invite you to Pumpkin Painting event and Costume Contest! Come dressed in your best Halloween costume to win a bookstore gift card for the Costume Contest. Please no weapons or face paint or costumes that cover your face. Adult Students Drop-In Social Hour, October 14th, 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in PUB 161

Need to Use a Microwave?
Students need to eat. Sometimes you need a microwave. Here are some locations of microwaves throughout the main campus: Basic Needs Hub (GHL 216), Frost Arts Center, Clark Bookstore, Hanna Hall Study Lounge, Culinary, Student Life, JSH near Clark Café, BHL near vending machines, SHL lower level near vending machines, NERD Cave (SBG 102). Please be mindful that other students use this machine, too. Please clean up after you make a mess. Be a resourceful and responsible student.
