Our Mission
The InfoSec Team works to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Clark College's information assets. Through proactive threat prevention, incident response, cybersecurity education, and policy development, we ensure that students, faculty, staff, and visitors can use technology with confidence.
What We Do
Our team actively supports Clark College's security through four core functions:
Defend Perimeters
We continuously monitor our networks for suspicious activity, deploy security controls, and implement defenses against emerging cyber threats to keep campus infrastructure secure.
Respond to Incidents
When security incidents occur, our team responds quickly to contain threats, investigate causes, recover systems, and prevent future occurrences.
Educate & Empower
We provide workshops, training materials, and awareness campaigns to help our community recognize phishing attempts, create strong passwords, and practice safe computing habits.
Ensure Compliance
We develop and maintain cybersecurity policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring responsible data handling across all departments.
Services We Offer
If you are a student or employee of Clark College, we provide services designed to strengthen your knowledge and improve overall resilience. For more information on how to access the following services, visit the Free InfoSec Resources page.
Cybersecurity Training
Customized sessions for your club, team, or department addressing risks and data types relevant to your responsibilities (e.g., secure coding, handling PII, financial fraud prevention).
Tabletop Exercises
Guided simulations of realistic crisis scenarios (e.g., ransomware, data breaches, physical disruptions) in a low-risk environment to educate participants, validate response plans, and clarify roles for departments.
Business Continuity Consultation
Work with our team to identify critical functions, assess dependencies, and develop step-by-step recovery strategies to keep your department operational during disruptions.
Vendor Risk & Compliance Reviews
Request security assessments for third-party vendors handled by your department. These reviews evaluate vendor safeguards, data practices, and incident response readiness.
