College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Clark College grants credit for completion of the College Board's College Level Examination Program (CLEP). This rigorous program allows students from diverse backgrounds to demonstrate their mastery of college-level material in introductory subjects and earn college credit.
We award credit on the basis of official CLEP test scores sent directly to Clark College. Currently recognized CLEP exams and their equivalencies are listed below. Credit is awarded as follows:
- Each general exam requires a score of 50 or higher; subject level exam scores may vary
- No duplicate credit will be awarded for courses already completed
- A maximum of 15 credits of general electives may be awarded toward any degree or certificate
- Credit is posted with an “S” grade during the term in which the score report is received
