DAC Student Resources
Clark lab accounts
New Clark students need to set up their Clark Lab account before their accommodations can be active and as part of the process with Disability Access Center. We recommend students trying to set these up before their intake appointment. Here is Clark's Tech Hub websites showing how students set these up:
How to set up your Clark Labs Account or reset the password: https://www.clark.edu/its/documentation-and-resources/students/setup.php. *Students need to set up their Student ID number first and then they can set up Clark Lab Account.
Questions still? Contact the TechHub for assistance, their contact information is on the following webpage, on the left side, near the bottom: https://www.clark.edu/its/documentation-and-resources/students/techhub/index.php

Flexible Attendance & Deadlines Accommodation Info
These accommodations are very different then K-12, both in what disabilities are approved and how much flexibility is provided. They are considered only with documentation, usualliy that pertains to a diagnosis and a record of flare-up or fluctuating symptoms. They generally allow a couple or few extensions throughout the term as a safety net for a disabilty flare-up but not weekly assignment extensions. Check out our Flexible Attendance and Deadlines Guidelines.
Flex Plan Agreement: instructor's initiate
This is the content instructors will complete in MyAccess Flex Plan: Sample Questions for Flexible Attendance and Deadlines in asked in FlexPlan
*New: as of Spring 2025, these forms are created by instructor based on the course allowances and studnet reviews in MyAccess account. You will receive an email when the form is ready or you can log into MyAccess to check the status for each course.
Student Reminders:
- There will be limits to how much flexibility an instructor can provide without fundamentally altering the course learning.
- Group and peer work is usually not allowed to be very flexible.
- It is imperative that you email your instructor before the absence or deadline when you plan to use one of your allowable extensions (following the Flex Plan).
Notetaking Technology:
Genio (used to be called Glean):
DAC can assign a license to students as a notetaker type accommodation, contact us if interested. Glean is a tool that helps students in capturing everything occuring in their live classes. Glean can audio record and produce an automated transcript of a live in person or virtual class. It also provides support in your notetaking and allows you to go back to the recording to fill in your own notes! Check out Genio website if you are interested and let a DAC staff member know.
Once Disability Access Center assigns you a license, here's helpful info when starting Glean:
- Genio Log in page- bookmark this page. Your Log in will be your full student email address.
- Genio Tips and Advice for Students- short video tutorials for students!
Recording & Transcript Tech:
Smart phones and often computers have recording devices built in, some with automated transcripts like Glean has. Check these out or contact us for an Assistive Tech appointment:
- Voice memos for iPhone.
- Google recorder for Android.
- Google Live Transcript to use on the webs on a computer.
