PREREQUISITES:
Moodle 101 and, preferably, experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP:
This workshop (normally $200, but free to Clark faculty) will teach you the rubric and how to apply it to the development of your courses. While the intent is for online and hybrid courses, most faculty discover improvements in their face-to-face courses from this proven method of considering learning outcomes, measurements and assessments, learning activities, and the implementation of technology in their courses.
This is a one-day intense workshop, all hours of which must be attended. With the successful completion of this workshop, you will have the tools to improve the design of your own online and hybrid courses and, if you choose, qualify to take the certification exam to become a Quality Matters peer reviewer for national teams.
NOTE: Registration at EventBrite is required (http://clarkcollegeelearning.eventbrite.com/); however, you do not need to bring the ticket with you for entrance to this workshop. Please direct any questions to Kathy Chatfield, Sr. Instructional Designer for eLearning, at kchatfield@clark.edu.

How Not to be the ’Last“ Point of Contact.

Many faculty and staff members are the first point of contact for students, but all faculty or staff members could be a point of contact for any student. The purpose of this faculty and staff training is to encourage more student interactions that are welcoming, informative, inclusive, and positive. While this is the goal for all student interactions, we will be focusing on students from underrepresented backgrounds as Clark‘s student body is increasingly diverse and more tools are necessary as we engage with that diversity. Through interactive presentations designed to provide theory we will all learn how to help students navigate Clark College more successfully.
