Information about our annual events
College Planning Day
The Washington Council’s College Planning Day provides a one-stop opportunity for high school sophomores, juniors, and undecided seniors to learn about Washington State’s higher education options. Clark College and Washington State University Vancouver take turns hosting the event for our high school service area each year.
During the event, students attend presentations from public and private institutions across the state of Washington, giving them a chance to connect with admissions representatives and get their questions answered.
This event is typically held in March of each year. Check back here for updates or contact Entry Services with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org
8th Grade Exploration Day
Held annually in the spring on several Washington college campuses, the Washington Council 8th Grade College Exploration Days are designed to introduce 8th graders to the available options for continuing their education after high school. Students rotate through a series of small group sessions, which are designed to be interactive as well as fun and educational.
Generally, events start at 9:00 am and run until approximately 1:00 pm; however, each site’s timeline can vary. Clark College and Washington State University Vancouver take turns hosting the event for local middle schools each year

Together we’ll explore the power of confidence and celebrate why you belong on a college campus!
