Established in 2008 with support from the Clark College Foundation, the series honors Clark faculty members and celebrates academic excellence.
Join us for the ninth annual Faculty Speaker Series beginning fall 2016. In formats that model the active learning strategies implemented at Clark, the series features faculty in a variety of presentations including panel discussions, interactive workshops and demonstrations to exemplify the teaching and learning that happens at Clark College every day. Events are free and open to the public.

Mindfulness: Mind Training for College Life

Math Professor John Mitchell has returned from sabbatical in which he studied mindfulness, a growing movement that is transforming the lives of students, faculty, and staff at colleges and universities around the world. In his presentation, Mitchell will highlight his research, guide participants through an experiential exercise, and invite student members of the Clark Mindfulness Club to share their experiences. Finally, he will suggest ways in which mindfulness could transform Clark College in the future.
