What's New in The Digest

Spring Native Plant Sale, April 24th – April 26th

Join The Swift, Clark College's literary journal to help edit, produce, and publish our annual issue that features fiction, poetry, and creative fiction written by Clark students, alumni, and staff. There are several ways to get involved in the '25-'26 academic year while you gain job and/or creative writing experience:

  • Enroll in 1 - 5 credits (variable, according to your own commitment level) in ENGL 277 during fall quarter to gain experience on staff, your name on The Swift masthead, and humanities credits while you help produce the annual issue.
  • Check out the-swift.org or @theswiftlit on Instagram for submission guidelines, launch party, and other opportunities.
  • Apply to the paid editorial positions posted in Career Services in late fall, slated to start early winter quarter.

No Appointment Needed, Drop-in Advising for Summer! July 7th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Need last-minute help before summer classes start? Drop-In Advising is available on Monday, July 7 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Gaiser Hall 108 or via Zoom – no appointment needed! These quick 10–15-minute sessions are perfect for finalizing your schedule, getting registration help, or checking in on your academic plan. Whether you're still deciding on a major or need to confirm your academic path, our Advising Services team is here to support you and set you up for a strong start to the term.

Penguin Pantry Summer Hours, Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in PUB 162

The Penguin Pantry is open during the summer for enrolled students. Our summer hours are Wednesdays from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. We will have meat, fresh produce, bread, snacks, pantry staples, refrigerated and frozen items and more. Please bring your own bags. Email penguinpantry@clark.edu for additional questions.

Never Travel Alone: Set a virtual safety timer for an extra layer of safety wherever you are. Find The Resources You Need: Access key safety and security resources. Help Is on The Way: With a push of a button, you can directly connect to the college's Security and Safety desk or 9-1-1 in an emergency. Discounted Student Fitness Center Membership: $10 Per Term

Where else can you work out for $10 per term? Join the Clark College Fitness Center. Students can go directly to the Cashier's Office in Gaiser Hall 128 to pay.

Free C-Tran Bus Passes with a Free Student ID

Get a Free C-Tran Bus Pass and a Free Clark College Student ID through the Bookstore. Simply bring a valid photo ID.

Check Your Contact Information is Up to Date

We recommend that you check to make sure your contact information in ctcLink is correct and up to date to ensure that Clark College can get in touch with you by email and phone to relay important information. To check and/or update your personal information, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into ctcLink
  2. Select "Student Homepage"
  3. Click on the "Personal Details" tile
  4. Select "Contact Details"
  5. Click on the plus "+" icon to add new contact information
  6. Be sure to set a "preferred" phone number and email address for the college to reach you at

Other Important Information

Protect Yourself from Phishing Scams!

Always verify the legitimacy of requests for personal information, even if they seem to come from Clark College. If you receive an email, text, or call asking for sensitive details:

Pause before responding.
Contact the Clark College Helpdesk at (360) 992-2425 or helpdesk@clark.edu to confirm the request.
Scammers may pose as Clark College or state employees to steal your personal information. Stay vigilant and protect yourself from fraud. Stay safe—think before you share!

Need to Use a Microwave?

Students need to eat. Sometimes you need a microwave. Here are some locations of microwaves throughout the main campus: Basic Needs Hub (GHL 216), Frost Arts Center, Clark Bookstore, & in the Hanna Hall Study Lounge. Quick note: Basic Needs Hub is the only location listed that has utensils and napkins. Please be mindful that other students use this machine, too. Please clean up after you make a mess. Be a resourceful and responsible student.

Printer Locations & Student Print Account

Did you know that if you need to print anything, each student has a printing account linked to their Clark Labs account? 1500 credits each term. Learn more about Student Print Accounts. Have questions or need help, contact IT services or labman@clark.edu.

The Business and Entrepreneurship Club is Recruiting Leadership Roles

The Business & Entrepreneurship Club at Clark College is looking for motivated and committed students to join its leadership team! This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, grow your network, and co-create a space for student empowerment, innovation, and real-world learning. We are currently recruiting for the following key leadership roles for the 2025–2026 academic year:

  • Vice President- Assist the President with strategic planning and represent the club when needed. Helps manage operations and initiatives across all areas.
  • Secretary- Responsible for communication, meeting minutes, calendar coordination, and supporting documentation efforts for the club.
  • Treasurer- Handles the club’s budget, spending records, and any funding proposals or grant-related coordination.

These positions form the core leadership team and will be essential in shaping the future of the club. Prior experience isn’t required — just commitment, curiosity, and a willingness to grow. Free Workshops at WorkSource

Did you know that your local WorkSource offers a variety of free workshops (virtual and in person) to support jobseekers and career changers? Some example workshops offered are: Creating the Right Resume, Coping with Stress During the Job Search, Resolving Conflict at Work, How to Get Past the Applicant Tracking System, and more! Registration is required for virtual workshops.

Student Resources

You May be Eligible for Support through Workforce Education Services

Workforce Education Services (WES) administers a variety of programs that are designed to support students who are seeking certificates and degree programs with an employment goal, as well as students enrolled in Transitional Studies programs. Eligibility, including eligible degree types, vary and are dependent on individual program requirements. Students may receive assistance with tuition, fees and books as well as help in accessing other supports to include public benefits by completing the Workforce Education Services Application.

You may be eligible for support through Workforce Education Services if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Considered low income
  • Receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
  • Receiving federal food benefits (SNAP/EBT)
  • Receiving unemployment benefits
  • Exhausted unemployment benefits within the past 48 months
  • A military veteran discharged within the past 48 months or have an upcoming separation date
  • A displaced Homemaker (loss of primary income due to becoming widowed, separated, divorced, or lost income due to loss of a spouse's job or incarceration of a spouse) within the past 48 months
  • A Former Foster Youth and under 22 years old
  • An Unaccompanied Homeless Youth and under 22 years old
