    During her years of working at Clark College, Rosalba has held different job titles, but her work has always centered around serving diverse students, prospective students, and their families. She serves as the Diversity Outreach Manager in the Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion. In this role, she also provides employee training on topics that include how to support immigrant and undocumented (DACA) students.
    Her main passion is to serve students, advocate for them and see them succeed. She partners with other departments inside and outside of the college to find resources to help students meet their needs and achieve their academic goals. She has worked serving students in higher education for more than 15 years.

    Mike (he/his) joined ODEI at Clark College in January 2022 and is currently serving as the Director of Student Equity and Inclusion. He earned Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Sociology and has a Graduate Certificate in Student Affairs in Higher Education. He has worked serving students and in student support, advocacy, success, and equity in higher education for 15 years. His passion is addressing barriers for students and helping them to achieve their goals.

    Mike enjoys working collaboratively with other departments and can help if you are looking to partner with ODEI on how to best meet student needs and implement strategies for student equity, success, and retention. Outside of work, Mike loves spending time in the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest and playing ice hockey.

  • Alyssa Montminy (she/hers) has worked at Clark College since 2019 as the Director of Employee Equity and Engagement in the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. With over 13 years of professional experience in Higher Education, Alyssa has worked in Student Affairs, Residence Life, Student Conduct and Title IX programs. Alyssa earned a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Oregon and a Master of Education in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University. When not working to provide care and advocacy to Clark employees, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her sons, catching up on the latest Real Housewives drama, and cross stitching.

  • Vanessa Neal (she/hers) serves as the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and provides strategic direction and leadership for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. With well over 15 years’ experience in Higher Education, Vanessa has served in private and public institutions supporting students, staff, and faculty in a variety of ways and has centered equity in her work in residence life, enrollment management, Title IX, human resources, and people, equity and strategy teams. Vanessa also serves as the Co-Chair for the Diversity Equity Officers Commission (DEOC) for the Community and Technical Colleges (CTCs) in Washington State and is a Board member of the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington in addition to being part of community committees rooted in social justice. The work she does is deeply personal to her as she comes with expertise in not only her career field but also with vast lived expertise as a woman of color navigating systems and advocating for change. This melding allows her to tap into imagining what is possible to create equitable outcomes for all, especially those who have been historically marginalized. Vanessa considers this work as her soul work which she does for the folx who are here now, and for generations to come.

    Andra joined the ODEI Team in September 2022 as the Equity Professional Development Manager. Andra brings with her 17 years of instructional experience an affiliate faculty member for the College Essentials and Human Development departments.

    Continuing her work of teaching and learning,, now, now geared toward faculty and staff, Andra shares in the work of creating communities that are inclusive, equitable and antiracist. To help Clark College be in compliance with RCW 28B.10.145, Andra assists in the management of the PPI (Power, Privilege, and Inequity) and EDM (Equitable Decision Making) trainings. Andra enjoys being a part of the planning and management of the BUILD program and the NWEREC conference, where participants can dive deeper into their own learning and be in community with others during the process.
