Get started on a new career

All the instructors are professional bakers who are experienced in the industry. They're teaching us hands-on things I will use in my baking career.

Professional Baking and Pastry Arts at the McClaskey Culinary Institute

Build your passion into a career as a professional baker.

Careers in the baking and pastry arts require creativity, attention to detail, and strong people skills. Clark College's Professional Baking and Pastry Arts helps train students to develop all the skills they need to succeed in this industry.

Built in 2018, Clark College's Tod and Maxine McClaskey Culinary Institute is the only public culinary institute within 120 miles. Students get hands-on training in a state-of-the-art industrial kitchen from faculty with long professional careers, in classes of 20 students or fewer. Our faculty's wide range of industry contacts mean you'll have opportunities to network and create career opportunities before graduating. And best of all, the program costs a fraction of the tuition of most private culinary institutes!
