Steven Beatty and Laurel Kurtz�s most recent installation furthers the environmental explorations of their previous work. Referencing earthworks from the 70�s as well as the mass quantities of plastics trapped in the North Pacific Gyre, the artists create a space filled with bottle caps accessible only by a single point of entry to the viewers.

Bright colored caps and lids are used to market products meant to be disposable, but made to last well beyond the life of the product. These vibrant colors now take on a new message, marking the accumulation of litter in the United States.
