Native Plant Center

"Restoring Habitat Through Education"

The Native Plant Center (NPC) is dedicated to educating the community about the environmental benefits of native plant species. The NPC grows native plants for use in home gardens and restoration projects that are designated by the Department of Natural Resources and the National Forest Service.

The NPC is run by our two staff members and our many volunteers. Students are encouraged to volunteer at the greenhouse. They are an integral part of the greenhouse operations including growing the plants and out-planting at restoration sites.

Summer at the NPC

We still have a lot going on during the summer months at the Native Plant Center! The summer term is about to begin, and we are looking for volunteers and interns to help keep our organization running. We are currently filling our contracts for the Department of Natural Resources and the Forest Service and need help with planting species and maintianing greenhouse operations. We are also re-doing all of our flower beds into native plant beds for education and seed collection purposes. If you would like to help, please contact us at
