Program Application and Admission Requirements
Teacher Education BAS program entrance consideration is based on the following:
- Complete the online Application for Admission form if a new student or if four or
more consecutive terms since attendance. Instructions can be found on the Get Started
page.
Get Started - Complete the Teacher Education Statement of Intent Form (this form). Submit the completed form electronically to enroll@clark.edu or mail to:

- Submit official college transcripts from ALL colleges attended (with the exception of Clark College) and send updated official transcripts each term (as applicable).
- Obtain a minimum GPA of 2.00. Students must earn a grade of “C” (2.0) or higher in each specifically listed course to be eligible for selection.
- Attempt and submit official scores for the Washington Educator Skills Test – Basic (WEST-B) or an equivalent assessment in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics. Important Note: Students can apply to the program with proof of registration for the test (screen capture is okay) and then submit official results as soon as they become available.
- Submit a completed Character and Fitness Supplement form and meet the requirements as defined by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and in accordance with Chapter 181-86 of the WACs. The form can be found on the Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction website. Character and Fitness Supplement Form
- Complete an associate degree or higher from a college or university with institutional accreditation.
