Departments provide students with an opportunity to take classes in a specific area. These classes may match program requirements for your chosen AA degree. Upon transferring to a four-year college or university, these classes may match program requirements of the academic major.
If you would like to take classes in a particular department below, work with your advisor to find the best classes to meet your transfer goals. Some courses in a program may need to be changed depending on the transfer institution.

Associate in Arts (AA)
The Associate in Arts (AA) degree is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree program. The degree, in most cases, meets the first two (2) years of general education requirements at the senior institution. There are exceptions; please check with the transfer institution for additional information. Most students transferring with the AA degree will be granted junior standing upon entry to the senior institution. This degree requires a minimum of ninety (90) credits and a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00.
