Clark College Corporate and Continuing Education Updates Name and Look

New name will be Economic and Community Development

VANCOUVER, Wash.– Clark College’s Corporate & Continuing Education organization has changed its name to Clark College Economic & Community Development in a move that Associate Vice President Kevin Witte says better reflects the evolving role that the division of the college plays within the community and within the region.

“As we have changed the mix of what we do to respond to emerging needs in the community, we wanted our name to better reflect what we offer,” Witte commented. He noted the newly named ECD division will continue its current offerings in Customized Learning, Professional Development, Mature Learning, and Community Education. ECD’s classes in personal enrichment, cooking, mature learning, as well as excursions, underscore its commitment to create learning communities within each class environment.

The new division will continue to enhance offerings in all areas, developing and expanding the number of contract trainings for organizations and professional development for individuals. ECD is currently participating in numerous economic growth initiatives and broadening its reach with customized trainings to small and large organizations.

Economic & Community Development has created new branded materials and a redesigned website, http://ecd.clark.edu, that launch January 20.
