Baseball is coming back to Clark College. It was last an intercollegiate program in 1992 and won regional championships in 1946 and 1968. Clark’s team won the state baseball championship in 1956.

The college will field a club team during the 2009-2010 season and play against two- and four-year colleges in the fall and spring. Players on this club team will not lose any playing eligibility in upcoming years in Northwest Athletic Association for Community Colleges (NWAACC), NCAA, and NAIA conferences.

The Athletic Department has applied and been granted Clark College baseball to become part of the the NWAACC conference for the 2010-2011 academic year. In order to be ready for this, the Penguin Baseball Club will be instrumental in preparing the baseball field for play at this level, as well as update the scoreboard, bleacher area, and add a batting cage for use by the baseball and softball programs at the College, among other things.

If you would like to support Clark baseball, please contact the Clark College Foundation, become a member of the Penguin Baseball Club, or join the Baseball Booster Club.

For more information, please contact Athletic Director Denny Huston at (360-992-2268) or Penguin Baseball Club coach Lee Brand at (360-992-2186).
