The Clark College 46th Annual Jazz Festival will be held from January 24-26, 2008. Vocal jazz ensembles and jazz bands from high schools in Oregon and Washington are invited to participate in this competition to be held in Gaiser Hall. Thursday’s event will include a clinic for participating vocal jazz ensembles. Preliminary competition takes place each day from 8:00-5:00 with final competition at 7:00 p.m.

The Clark College Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Janet Reiter, will be featured at noon and 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. Richard Inouye will direct the Clark College Jazz Ensemble in performances on Friday at noon and 9:00 p.m. and again at noon on Saturday. The Sweepstakes Band for 2007, Mountlake Terrace High School, will perform on Saturday evening at 9:00 p.m., under the direction of Darin Faul.
Admission is $5 per day; children under 12 accompanied by an adult are free.
