COMPASS ESL Test is the placement test used for students for whom
English is their second language wanting to enroll in ESL and/or ENL
courses. The English as a Second Language (ESL) Placement
Test is a comprehensive computer-adaptive testing system
that helps place students into appropriate ESL courses and maximizes
their chances for success.

Each ESL test measures multiple levels of English proficiency, ranging from near-beginner to near-native speaker ability in
the following areas:
- Listening
- Reading
- Grammar/Usage
The COMPASS ESL test is a computer-based assessment and is not timed. Testing services are offered on a walk in basis.
