Students are strongly encouraged to contact a Physician Assistants school directly to determine the exact prerequisites. There is a wide range of requirements and recommended courses. Programs are Masters level programs. Students will need 1-2 years of experience in the health field with direct (hands-on) experiences in delivering medical care or patient contact.
