Admission to dental school is highly competitive. The predental student should make personal contact with a dental school to gain information about admission standards and requirements. Students should choose electives which broaden their intellectual and social backgrounds such as courses in:

Most students entering dental schools today have had three to four years of college pre-dental study.

Dental schools admit a limited number of students. Because of this, pre-dental students should keep in mind a possible alternative objective such as teaching science, pharmacology, or laboratory technology.
