Dental hygienists are professional members of the dental health team, providing skilled care using the highest professional knowledge, judgment and ability.
The program is accredited
by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The curriculum is seven quarters
and includes those expanded duties allowed by Washington State Law,
including clinical experience in the Clark dental
hygiene clinic under the supervision of licensed dentists
and licensed dental hygienists.
Dental Hygiene Point System Changes
Beginning with the January 8, 2012 application deadline, the Dental Hygiene program will utilize the HESI A2 Admission Test to award points toward selection.
The Dental Hygiene Point System will adjust to 62 total points possible due to differences in the exam sections being administered. Please see the updated Point System Worksheet provided below for the updated criteria, HESI sections, and point ranges.
All qualified applicants will be required to take the HESI A2 Admission Test.
