
ECE
Curriculum and Advising department provides professional and educational
training to students wishing to work in programs providing care and education
to young children and parenting skills to adults.
Classes offered teach practices and theory
that comply with child care licensing regulations set by
the State of Washington Office of Child Care Policy.
Clark's ECE program complies with guidelines set
by the National Association for the Education of Young Children as well
as the statements of competencies in the the NAEYC-published list of Developmentally
Appropriate Practices.
Course offerings are coordinated with Washington
State University's early childhood curriculum to
insure maximum transferability from Clark to WSU. Clark has developed
articulation agreements with other colleges in both Washington
