Susan Taylor, PDSO Susan is a veteran in the field of international education, having begun her career at the University of Michigan-Flint where she first developed the institution’s International Student Program. With a background in advertising and program administration, Susan joined Clark College in 2005. She has advised and mentored students from all over the world, devoting her personal and professional life to cultural exchange and cultivating international friendship.

Jody Shulnak Jody developed her passion for international education through her service experience, in work such as tsunami relief efforts in south India, outreach for orphans in Bolivia, and teaching English as a second language in South Africa, Egypt and to Tibetan refugees in the Himalayas. She holds an MS degree in International Conflict Resolution from Portland State University and has volunteered, lived, worked, studied and traveled in 43 countries spanning six continents.

Karen Matz Curriculum Advisor Karen’s experience in international education includes teaching English as a second language and international advising at several colleges and universities in the western U.S. and Thailand. She has a bachelor’s in Business Administration with a minor in German and a master’s in Education. Karen loves to travel and has climbed through castles in Romania and swum with sharks in the Marshall Islands.

Kate August Cascio Program Assistant tel: 360-992-2390 Kate’s experience working in international education began as a student worker in the Study Abroad Office at the University of Mississippi. After her own study abroad experiences in Europe, she went on to work with the London CAPA Center, to coordinating faculty-led programs abroad at The University of Vermont, to recently earning an M.A. in Higher Education and Student Personnel. Kate enjoyes supporting international students and helping students learn about opportunities abroad.

Eric Jenkins Office Assistant Eric is a current student at Clark College, working towards his AA in general studies with intent to transfer to Portland State University. He is a veteran of the United States Army and is attending school on his Post 9/11 G.I. Bill benefits. Eric spent the majority of his time in the military stationed overseas and is very interested in foreign cultures and languages, as well as the opportunity to engage and interact with the diverse international student population at Clark College.

Lulu is a current Clark College student, study for getting Education major in AA degree. She comes from Shenzhen, China. Lulu enjoys all the performing arts at Clark, including theatre productions and concerts. She is one of the members in Clark woman’s choral ensemble. She works in the Art Gallery, as well. She loves to play the piano, singing, and do some outdoor activities. She has the passion and patience for helping more international students.

Mohammed Al Mohammadi Middle East Recruitment Assistant m.almohammadi@students.clark.edu Mohammed is a current Clark College student from Saudi Arabia. He is majoring in Engineering. Before coming to Clark, Mohammed studied English language from ALI in CA. His hobbies are traveling and reading news papers. Mohammed works in the International Programs Office to help students who are from Middle East.
