Adult Basic Education classes are held at Town Plaza Center
and other locations throughout the community. ABE classes are designed
to help adults improve their skills in Reading, Writing, and Math.
GED preparation classes are also available. Basic computer classes
are available to students enrolled in ABE/GED classes. Students
must be sixteen years of age or older to attend classes.
Students may register for Adult Basic Education classes in person
at Town Plaza Center or go directly to the community location during
offered class times. Please verify actual schedule offerings with
the ABE Department. ABE/GED students will be charged $25.00 tuition
per quarter for any and all classes taken in Basic skills (ABE/GED,ESL).

How to Enroll
You can register for ABE/GED classes in person at the class or during
business hours at the community location through which the class is
being offered. You must be 16 years of age or older. If you are under
age 19, you must have a release from compulsory high school attendance.
New
students at TPC must attend an orientation, testing and registration
session. These sessions are held most Wednesdays and last about
4-5 hours. Please read the TPC Orientation/Registration section
for requirements and schedule information.
TPC Orientation/Registration
If you are planning to enroll in ABE or GED preparation classes
at Town Plaza Center for the first time, you must attend an orientation
before the beginning of the quarter. The session includes retesting
and registration for classes.
You need to bring with you to the orientation.
