All faculty, staff, students, and community members are invited to convene in their offices, classrooms, and salute Clark College by singing Happy Birthday in unison at 9 a.m.

The Chime Tower has been an iconic site for Clark College for more than 40 years.  It will strike the time with the tune of "Happy Birthday" throughout the day.

Dedication of the Ellis F. Dunn Community Room

Hall

The dedication of the college's new community room pays tribute to Ellis F. Dunn, who served Clark College for 30 years in a number of roles including interim President, by designating the “Ellis F. Dunn Community Room” in Gaiser Hall.

2-4 p.m.

Birthday Cake and College Tours

Penguin Student Lounge

Members of the community are invited to join faculty, staff and students to enjoy birthday cake and take part in tours showcasing our beautiful main campus and our college's history.

Reception and Lighting of the Chime Tower

Gaiser Student Center, new Gaiser Hall foyer and Andersen Fountain

In conjunction with the Clark College Alumni Association, the Clark College Chime Tower will be lighted for the first time. The evening’s program, which will be held in the newly-enhanced Gaiser Student Center, will include welcomes by college dignitaries, entertainment, and surprises, as well as congratulatory messages from Washington Governor Chris Gregoire, Congressman Brian Baird, Vancouver Mayor Royce Pollard, and other local and state elected officials.

Clark College has just completed a comprehensive self-study thanks to the efforts of more than 100 faculty and staff members.  This event will honor their work and that of their peers in making sure Clark College will continue to hold its margin of excellence within the community.

Celebration event in honor of Roy and Virginia Andersen who made history a decade ago by making a contribution to Clark College that would change the culture of philanthropy in support of community and technical colleges across the United States.

A family-friendly festival and free to the public, complete with a play area, coloring station, artisan booths, food, and FUN for the entire community to enjoy!
