How do I purchase my books?
All textbooks and supplies for Clark College classes offered at Columbia Tech Center are available for purchase at the Clark College Bookstore. Students attending Clark College at Columbia Tech Center have two options for obtaining their books:
Visit the Clark College Bookstore on the main campus, located in Gaiser Hall, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.
Shop the Clark College Bookstore online for home delivery. Books and information for the current or upcoming quarter become available in store and online the week of finals each quarter. Dates and other pertinent information will be posted on the bookstore Web site when registration begins.
Is there a library at Clark College at Columbia Tech Center?
Students at Clark College at Columbia Tech Center receive services comparable to those provided on the Main Campus including research, instruction, and access to various library holdings, including course reserves and subscription databases. Students can request items from Clark College's Cannell Library as well as 38 other academic libraries in Washington and Oregon. Library materials will be transported to CTC via courier. The CTC Library is called the Information Commons and is located in room 219 (second floor). The Information Commons features two rooms for collaborative group study and an open area with computers and work space for individual student use.
Are there computer labs at Clark College at Columbia Tech Center?
Students at Clark College at Columbia Tech Center have access to computer labs and computer lab assistants just as they do on the main campus. The CTC Computer Lab is located on the second floor in room 212. To find the computer lab hours and location throughout Clark College, visit the Computer Lab website.
Is there food service at Clark College at Columbia Tech Center?
CTC does have vending machines on the second and third floor. Microwaves available on the first and second floor.
What about student activities?
Clark College students attending classes at Columbia Tech Center may participate in student organizations and student government committees and are encouraged to attend events and activities on Clark's main campus. A few times every quarter, ASCC sponsors events such as Welcome Week at CTC. Most CTC student events will be located in The Nest (open seating area on the 2nd floor at the top of the stairs). The ASCC provides free coffee on the first floor lobby on Tuesdays from 8:00am-10:30am. Students may pick up a FREE reusable ASCC travel mug at the Student Services office (provided by the Office of Student Life the first week of each quarter) and bring it back each Tuesday to enjoy a hot cup of coffee! Limited supplies.
Where do students go to study at CTC?
Columbia Tech Center (CTC) has multiple areas within the building for students to study. The quiet commons is a location for quiet reading located in CTC 330, as well as, the Computer Lab in CTC 212. For group study spaces we have the Nest located on the second floor, CTC 312, and the Loft in front of the quiet commons CTC 330. The Tutoring room is another space for quiet studying and various help from tutors throughout the quarter. This room is located in CTC 336 at a first come, first serve basis and tutors have priority of the tables.
What is the wireless (wifi) password at CTC?
To log into the Clark College wifi system, you must be a currently enrolled/registered student. The information at CTC is the same for the main campus. Please visit the wireless link for more information.
