Running Aug. 21-29, Bogosian play explores youthful disaffection
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Theatre lovers get a welcome respite from superhero movies this
summer as Clark College Theatre presents Eric Bogosian’s subUrbia Aug. 21 – 29. This play, originally written in 1994 and turned into a movie in 1996,
explores a group of aimless twentysomethings still living in the New Jersey suburb
where they were raised. Their fractious lives are put into clear focus when a former
high school classmate, Pony, comes back to visit them. Pony’s success as a musician
makes the others reexamine the choices that have led them to stay put in not just
their hometown, but in their well-worn patterns of existence. Strong language and
adult content make this play suitable for mature audiences only.
Cast includes Tim Busch (Tim), Isaac Conzatti (Buff), Andrew Forrest (Jeff), E. Andres Houseman (Norman), Nicole Kadow (Pakeeza), Trina McConnell (Bee-Bee), Stacy Hogan (Sooze), Samuel Ruble (Pony), Kennedy Marvin (Erica). Production includes strong language, and adult themes.
Show Dates: Aug. 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29. All show times are at 7:30 p.m.
Ticket Information: Students (with ID) $9; Alumni (with membership) $9; Senior Citizens $11; General Admission $13. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Clark College Bookstore in Gaiser Hall, online at http://www.clarkbookstore.com/site_theatre.asp, or call 360-992-2815.
