2025 Competition Application

Eligibility Requirements: Current high school senior in 2024-2025 and planning to attend Clark College as a music major in 2025-2026. Winner must enroll in at least 12 credits each quarter and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Winner: awarded a two-year $6000/year Scholarship.
Application Requirements:
- Submit completed form.
- Include two recordings (youTube links are preferable). These should be contrasting
in style (one up tempo, one slower).
- One blues chart, head and three choruses of improvisation.
- One standard (not blues) tune, head and two choruses of improvisation.
Finalists will do a live audition at Clark College at an arranged date/time.
- One standard chart, head and two choruses with a live rhythm section provided by Clark College. The piece will be assigned by Dr. Harris.
- Sightreading and improvising on a standard chart supplied by Dr. Harris.
