HR Generalist Certificate
As an HR Generalist you are expected to be an expert in every human resource function including hiring, compensation, payroll, performance management, employment laws (FMLA, ADA, COBRA, etc.) and much more. Through lecture, discussion and activities, this program will help prepare you to effectively serve in an HR Generalist role. Additionally, you will be equipped with tools to assist you as you encounter situations in today's workplace.
Job Outlook
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts a significantly higher-than-average growth rate for HR jobs at the managerial level between 2019 and 2029. They also report that the median annual wage for human resources managers was $116,720 in May 2019.

Requirements
Earn the certificate by taking the courses individually or register for the series and save.
This 8 class series includes (36 hours):

- Recruitment and Selection - 6 hours
- Compensation and Benefits - 6 hours
- Employee and Labor Relations - 6 hours
- Training and Development - 3 hours
- Health, Safety and Security - 3 hours
- HR Administration - 3 hours

The textbook can be purchased via Amazon. It is not available at Clark College's bookstore.
Program Completion
To receive the HR Generalist Certificate, you must attend 80 percent of the entire certificate program (calculated by total number of sessions).
HR Generalist Certificate is offered each of the following quarters: Fall, Winter
and Spring.
