Expanded Focus of Computer Graphics
In recent years, the computer has become an increasingly essential tool for designers.
Students in computer graphics at Clark College have access to a computer lab equipped
with the latest industry standard hardware and software.
Our new degree program is designed to teach the practical application of artistic
skills to projects encountered in business and industry today. Our program focuses
on basic skills and concepts by using current techniques and applications. A good
foundation is offered in drawing, design and art history.
The student is encouraged to apply these skills to develop a balanced and representative
portfolio to use in seeking employment.
Courses are designed to teach the creative application of these programs to projects
that would typically be encountered in the workplace. Both individual and team approaches
to projects and problem solving are practiced. Developing strong visual, written and
verbal communication skills are emphasized.
