Welding Technology–Program Outcomes
The Clark Welding Technology program is designed to provide students with required welding and fabricator skills to be successful in today's local, regional or national work environment. Upon completion, welding students will be able to read prints, analyze parts to be jointed, and carry out proper fitting, welding and inspection. They will learn critical job skills by working in a multitude of settings with a variety of materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, copper or bronze, for example, under varying conditions.
For these activities, welding students need good eyesight and hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Students should be able to concentrate on detailed work for long periods and be physically fit. Knowledge of computers and sufficient math skills are increasingly important, as is the ability to work with others to complete assignments
