About the Artist:
Native American artist Dorothea Romero (Tlingit) creates abstract artworks that use materials and art forms that are traditionally Indigenous.
Born in Alaska, Romero is of Tlingit (Native Alaskan) heritage. She is based in Bothell, Western Washington.
Artwork description:
Blue and green abstract paint, with a few bright spots of orange. There are lines drawn over the painted surface outlining the abstract shapes.
Acquisition Information:
Donated by Kathleen Ihnken in 2019. Donor purchased from Sacred Circle Gallery of American Indian Art in Seattle.
