Artwork description:

Artist Jim Vollmer created Atom Splits Your Eye using intersecting lines and free-form shapes to symbolize the threat of nuclear war. While the imagery and subject are serious and distressing, Vollmer notes "hope comes out of our understanding of what nuclear weapons are, what they mean to the human race, and that their eventual banning will be global in our life time."
