Artwork description:
Late Vashon Island-based artist Art Hansen created The Pond - April 1978 as part of a body of work drawn both from observation and from imagination, often inspired by the natural landscape of his home. This piece uses negative space to imply the pond and sky set in the background behind lush forest growth. This work features a still pond in the foreground and two trees reflected in it on the far left. A grassy hill and some trees in the background.
