About the Artist: 

Kessler had many jobs in the art field including being a graphic artist for Clark College and the Fort Vancouver Library system in the 1980s. Editioning etchings for Portland artists in the 1990s, picture framing all along, teaching art to children through Vancouver Parks and Rec and through a children’s program at Clark College.

She graduated with a BFA from Marylhurst College in 1986. She has been represented by Altman gallery in Vancouver, WA and Caplan Art Designs and the Art Museum rental sales in Portland, OR. And has participated in Clark County Open Studios four times.

Artwork description:

Mostly black in color with a woman's face in the center with her cheek on the shoulder of the dance partner who is wearing a patterned shirt. The woman's forearm and hand are pressed against the partner's back.
