Texas Collaborative for Teaching Excellence Professional Development Module on Assessment --  presents key concepts, background information, and techniques of classroom assessment and evaluation.

•  Short Introduction to Classroom Assessment -- British Columbia Institute of Technology's longstanding "How To" series' introduction to classroom assessment covers the basics of classroom assessment and includes a quick guide to planning an appropriate project.
  
  
• Teaching Goals Inventory Online -- The University of Iowa has done all of higher education a favor by obtaining the rights to put the "Teaching Goals Inventory" online. Faculty can sign in, complete the inventory, and print out the results.
  
  
• Create an Online Assessment Tool -- Survey Monkey "...has a single purpose: to enable anyone to create professional online surveys quickly and easily."  With this online program you can create your surveys and compile the results.  
     
• Penn State has an excellent online resource through their Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence. As part of the site, they have two articles on classroom assessment for faculty who need 'more' material.

• The Open Washington website is an excellent resource for course materials, textbooks, images and videos. It includes a self-paced tutorial for understanding and adopting OER, along with an attribution builder tool to assist with Creative Commons licensing standards. Managed by the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC), Open Washington was awarded the "2016 Outstanding Site Award for Open Education Excellence" by the Open Education Consortium, an international network for open education.

• The IHMC CmapTools client is free for use by anybody in order to create mind maps.  In particular, schools and universities are encouraged to download it and install it in as many computers as desired, and students and teachers may make copies of it and install it at home.

• FreeMind is mind-mapping software written in Java. Recent developments make this software a highly productivity tool for creating various mind maps.
