The Clark College graduate has been named the college’s new director of nursing. Myers has also been selected to participate in Lead, the new leadership development program of the National League for Nursing (NLN).

Clark’s nursing program is recognized statewide for the quality of its instruction and the accomplishments of its graduates.  Its accreditation was recently affirmed by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission, Inc.

Vice President of Instruction Dr. Rassoul Dastmozd said, “I am delighted that professor Myers will be leading our nursing department and our faculty members.  She brings enthusiasm, dedication, and a commitment to teaching and learning excellence and serving the needs of our students.”

The year-long Lead program is geared toward emerging leaders in nursing education. The initial Lead cohort includes only 30 nurse educators, chosen from colleges and universities throughout the United States.  They will study for a year under the direction of Beverly Malone, PhD, RN, FAAN.  Malone is CEO of the National League for Nursing.

Associate Dean of Health Sciences Jean M. She has also been identified by the administration at Clark College as possessing significant leadership potential.”  Donovan added, “Cindy has exhibited a solid commitment to lifelong learning and to mentoring new full and part-time faculty within the nursing department.”
