Running Start Student

Steps to enroll for Running Start students

The Running Start program allows high school juniors and seniors to earn college credits while completing their high school education without the cost of tuition (books and fees are not included). Students may take just one class per quarter, or take all of their courses on the Clark College campus.

Steps to Enroll

Review eligibility and attend a running start info night

Running Start Information Nights are held in the winter and early spring of each year. These optional information sessions are for students and their families who want to know more about beginning the Running Start program.

Apply to Clark College using the state application

To apply at Clark College please complete the state-wide application. You will receive an email confirmation within 48 hours of applying that contains your ctcLink ID and your next enrollment steps.

Need help with your application? Call 360-992-2078 or email start@clark.edu for help.

Meet with your High School Counselor and Parents/Guardians

Students are required to turn in an Enrollment Verification Form (EVF) each quarter, signed by their high school counselor and a parent/guardian.  This is important because this is the form that reduces tuition.

Note:  You can register for your classes before you submit your EVF.  It’s important that you register on your enrollment date/time for best class selections.

Meet with an Enrollment Navigator

Review your remaining enrollment requirements at the Welcome Center with an Entry Services staff member and ask any questions to clarify the process.

Visit their virtual Zoom support center or schedule an appointment by emailing start@clark.edu.

Complete New Student Orientation

Prepare for your first term at Clark College by participating in new student orientation.

Register for Classes

Register online through your MyClark@ctcLink student homepage or ctcLink Mobile App.

Turn in your completed Enrollment Verification Form

The student or high school counselor must turn in their completed EVF to the Running Start Program Specialist in the Enrollment Services Office. Questions? EVF Steps. The EVF should be emailed to enroll@clark.edu

Note:  Students must send the EVF to enroll@clark.edu if you high school counselor does not.  In order to pay your fees on time, you should have your EVF submitted to Enrollment Services prior to the terms payment deadline date.
