Physical Education Combined With Practical Learning

The foundation of Health and Physical education centers on the promotion of healthy lifestyle practices. Our courses focus on achieving balance in seven dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, and environmental.

At Clark, students receive real-world experience in facilities that include the Thompson Fitness Center, a local golfing range, and community pool. Our curriculum varies depending on concentration with a range of courses like yoga, hiking, total body conditioning, self-defense, food and personal health, and human sexuality.

If you are interested in a career in Health and Physical Education, you should consult with a member of the Health and Physical Education (HPE) Division for advising. Our staff works together with students so they may pursue courses that cater to their area of focus.

Career Opportunities

Employment opportunities in Health and Physical Education include sports administration, physical therapy, fitness trainers, health promotion and disease prevention, wellness coaching, and teaching, making career options flexible for students.
