English as a Second Language (ESL)

English as a Second Language classes are designed for non-native speakers and are held at Town Plaza Center and on the main Clark College campus.
These classes are for adult immigrants and refugees. Course work emphasizes conversational English with attention given to reading, writing, speaking, listening and US culture. Students may register at the first class session. For further information, please call (360) 992-2736.

Citizenship classes are offered on the main Clark College campus at Joan Stout Hall during Fall and Winter quarters on Tuesdays, 7-10:00 p.m. These ten-week classes provide preparation for taking the US citizenship examination. The program does not provide citizenship testing. For further information, please call (360) 992-2741.

ESL students will be charged $25.00 tuition per quarter for any and all classes (including Citizenship). For financial help or additional information, contact the Town Plaza Basic Skills Office at (360) 992-2741.
