The Teaching and Learning Center supports the professional development work of many departments at Clark College. Below is a partial list of the departments who regularly use the facilities and resources of the Teaching and Learning Center.
The Office of Diversity and Equity helps recruit and retain a diverse student body and workforce. Its staff members also provide training and educational resources for all members of the college community around diversity, inclusion, power, privilege, inequity, and social justice. They are equally committed to serving historically disadvantaged communities as they navigate Clark as well as the entire Clark community as it engages in conversations around power, privilege, inequity, and diversity.
eLearning at Clark College offers a variety of online learning options for students and employees. Training and instructional design related to the use of eLearning technologies is available through this department. Faculty members are encouraged to take advantage of the many training opportunities for Canvas, Clark’s Learning Management System, and Quality Matters certified courses.
Information Technology Services provides IT infrastructure, equipment, on-campus trainings, and support services for students and employees to help them meet their educational and work objectives.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) supports the college in complying with OSHA, Department of Ecology, and other regulatory agencies. The department offers safety training, ergonomic consultations, recycling and composting resources. They also handle campus audits and accident reporting.
