2007-2008 Schedule

Wednesday, November 28, 2:00-4:00

Café Un:

Location: T-Building, Rooms 227 and 237

Focus: Similar to café in spring, 2007. What is your experience with lifelong learning? What would you like to see happen at Clark to enhance life-long learning for everyone in the Clark Community?

Thursday, January 24, 3:00-5:00

Café Deux:

Location:  T-Building, Rooms 227 and 237

Focus: Fleshing out ideas for promoting life long learning at Clark. Students will be the table hosts and will help facilitate and process ideas other table participants offer for consideration. At the end, ideas will be collected on a huge board for all to weigh in on.

Wednesday February 13, 3:00-5:00

Café Trois:

Location:  PUB Lounge

Focus: In honor of Valentine’s Day and lifelong love of learning, the Clark community will focus on learning the art of listening in the first hour and practice their skills by listening one-on one to each other in the second hour. Participants can share anything they wish to share and be really listened to. Great forum for getting things off your chest, airing an idea, making a decision, or expressing a dream you have.

Tuesday, April 29, 3:00-5:00

Café Quatre:

Location:  PUB Lounge

Focus:

Option 1:  Possible Decision or Policy Input. Based more on the model of America Speaks where participants actually vote on ideas after discussion and enter both their votes and comments into a computer bank. Decision point may come from administration or from issues raised by the Clark community.

Option 2: Students Take Center. Fish Bowl where students discuss topics while rest of Clark community listens. Opportunity after the fish bowl for gathered reflection.

Monday, June 2, 3:00-5:00

Café Cinq:

Location:  PUB Lounge

Focus: Open Café. Topics to be suggested ahead of time by Clark Community. It is important that administration participate in this café in order to hear what is being said on campus first hand.
